Nicole Harris

Nicole Harris is a well-respected opera singer hailing from Las Vegas, Nevada. With 15 years of experience in voice training, Nicole has become an active performer around the valley, showcasing her skills with Vegas City Opera and Opera on Tap Las Vegas. In addition to performing, Nicole serves as a board member and secretary for Opera Las Vegas.

Over the years, Nicole has taken part in various productions, including The Magic Flute, La Perichole, L’Etoile, Pagliacci, Seven Deadly Sins, The Pirates of Penance, Das Rheingold, and Die Walküre. She also lent her vocals as a part of the Streetmosphere program at The Venetian.

Nicole’s formal education was spent at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, where she received her Bachelors and Masters of Music in Vocal Performance. During her studies, she was able to perform various roles, such as Third Spirit in Mozart’s The Magic Flute, La Badessa in Suor Angelica, Dryade in Ariadne auf Naxos, and The White Cat and The Squirrel in L’Enfant et les sortileges. As a choral singer, Nicole has been singing in choirs since she was 10 years old. She has performed major works, including Ein Deutsches Requiem by Brahms, Carmina Burana by Carl Orff, and Gloria by Poulenc. Nicole also spent 9 years as an active member of the Las Vegas Master Singers, with whom she sang alongside the Las Vegas Philharmonic at the Smith Center.

In addition to her own performing career, Nicole is a dedicated voice teacher who focuses on helping her students succeed no matter their skill level. She values the importance of tailoring her approach to the needs of each individual student and prioritizes building a healthy technique while keeping lessons engaging and fun. Thanks to her guidance, her students have gone on to achieve great success, including acceptance to prestigious programs at LVA and NYU, and performing in talent shows at their schools.

As if her vocal talents weren’t enough, Nicole also has significant experience playing the piano, adding yet another dimension to her musical expertise. Throughout her experience Nicole honed her piano skills and developed a deep appreciation for classical music. This allowed her to play a more active role in the musical world and help expand her teaching abilities. She believes in staying committed to developing her craft in every possible way, so that she can continue to share her gift of music with her students for many years to come.
