Through an extensive music education, Miranda Kennedy has played the violin for 12 years. Miranda first attended the Las Vegas Academy of the Arts and then moved on to study Violin Performance at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas on a full music and academic scholarship. Miranda studied under the direction of violinists Lee Schrieber and Weiwei Le.
Miranda had the opportunity of performing around the world including venues in Spain, Hawaii, the Midwest Clinic in Chicago, California, Arizona, and Reno. Miranda has been a member of several orchestras which include the Las Vegas Young Artists Orchestra, Nevada All-State Orchestra, Las Vegas Youth Philharmonic, CCSD Honor Orchestra, Henderson Symphony, UNLV Symphony and Chamber Orchestras, and the Nevada Chamber Symphony’s Orchestra Futura. Miranda has performed for various events such as the Sir Anthony Hopkins Art Show, Nathan Adelson Hospice Foundation fundraisers, local art shows, the Las Vegas Academy of the Arts Gala, the Gospel Grammys, and productions at the House of Blues.
Miranda is passionate about teaching music. Miranda focuses on providing students with an all-around great experience. She believes that a musical education is something to be enjoyed. When Miranda is not embracing her love for music, she can be found at the gym, swimming, reading, discovering new restaurants, and spending time with friends and family.
