Valentine Baron is a native of France. After receiving  a Bachelors and a Masters degree in Musicology in France, she moved to New York to pursue a Master of Vocal Performance and Pedagogy from New York University. While at NYU she was an adjunct instructor of Voice for two years. After her graduation in 2016, she stayed in New York to take a vocology class where she was able to observe the work of speech pathologists at the NYU Voice center. In 2017, she returned to France and established her private voice studio in Paris where she taught various genres of music to more than 40 students. In 2018, she moved back to the United States to complete her Doctorate of Musical Arts (DMA) in the studio of the soprano Dr. Linda Lister at the University of Nevada Las Vegas. In May 2022 Valentine graduated and received her DMA and was named the recipient of the UNLV Outstanding Graduate Student Top Tier Award.

As a performer, Valentine sang with different companies in New York such as New York Lyric Theater and Regina Opera. In Las Vegas, she regularly performs as a soloist and chorister with Vegas City Opera, and Opera Las Vegas. Valentine is the winner of the SACEM Prize (2011) at the Young European soloist competition in the Luxembourg, second prize winner (2013) of the Paris Competition “Les Clés d’or”, and placed third (2021) at the Cal-Western region NATS Artist Award (NATSAA) competition.

Valentine is a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing and the National Opera Association. She served as an adjudicator for the NATS Cal-Western Region voice competition in 2020 in California, and the same year for the Student Auditions at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

As well as a voice teacher, Valentine taught piano for six years in different schools of music in New York, Paris, and Las Vegas. Some of her piano students won prizes at the international competition “Les clés d’or” originally created in Paris by renown pianist Gérard Gahnassia. Together they organized the same competition in New York for two years in the row. Valentine studied piano in Montpellier, France with Sylvain Ragusa.
